An amateur orchestra based in Stevenage who perform 3-4 concerts a year at venues across Hertfordshire.

Stevenage Ladies Choir

Repertoire includes classical and light music, including selections from many musicals

Stevenage Locomotive Society

Holds monthly meetings at the Community Arts Centre with exhibitions and speakers from across the country

Stevenage Choral Society

A mixed voice choir of about 90 members of all ages. Performs 3-4 concerts a year. New members welcome

Stevenage Lytton Players

Specialise in both musical theatre and drama productions. Also has an extremely strong and active youth theatre.

Stevenage Male Voice Choir

The choir gives about 12 concerts a year at venues ranging from OAP homes to the Gordon Craig Theatre

Stevenage Underwater Photography Society

A group of qualified sports divers who share a common interest in photography.
Meets each month at Community Arts Centre.

The Arts in Stevenage

The Stevenage Arts Guild was founded in the 1950's to encourage, to sustain and to co-ordinate the artistic endevours of the people of Stevenage.

The Arts Guild has a wide range of members -from the performing arts, choirs and orchestras to floral arts, photographic societies and locomotive societies.

7:45pm Saturday 17th June 2017 :  Mozart Requiem
Stevenage Choral Society and Stevenage Symphony Orchestra are excited to be performing Mozart's Requiem for the 2017 Festival. Intriguing and mysterious, this famous piece provides a fascinating and emotionally stirring auditory experience. We hope youll come and enjoy this truly moving performance.

Stevenage Symphony Orchestra will also be performing an enchanting variety of orchestral melodies from the world of opera and ballet including the Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana, music from Puccini and the Scene and Waltz from Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky.

Joint concert with our old friends the Stevenage Male Voice Choir at the beautiful church of St Nicholas. This concert is to be part of the fringe for the Stevenage Music Festival and the repertoire will contain classical, popular and modern music.

2017 Stevenage Festival

Stevenage Festival provides a showcase for all the exciting talent that we have right here on our doorsteps in Stevenage. It takes place every two years and involves something like two thousand local performers and artists of all descriptions.

Arts Guild Welcomes New Group

Our theatre is named after him… but who was Edward Gordon Craig?

50 years after his death, Stevenage Arts Guild, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, celebrate the life and work of the town’s forgotten son who became a radical and visionary theatrical pioneer of the "art of theatre" through a series of exhibitions and events throughout 2016/17.
